Dentistry is an amazing field that allows me to exercise my creative and artistic side in service of my patients’ health. Pediatric dentistry gives me the unique opportunity to help children foster great self-esteem as they learn to navigate a potentially stressful situation with playfulness, creativity and imagination. Observing this seems to keep me playful, creative and imaginative. My patients seem to give me new reasons to be grateful every day.

kornI am a Charlotte native and have been here in Raleigh since 2007. At home, my wife, Emily, and I have a son named Finn, and a furry Golden Retriever named Lee. When I’m not in the office, you can often find me kitesurfing, paddle surfing, skiing and hiking. I am passionate about the effects that a whole foods plant-centered diet has on improving not just oral health, but overall health.

Robert Moran, Jr., DDS, MS

dr-moranHelping children enjoy their first dental experiences is one of my main goals as a pediatric dentist. The most rewarding part of my profession is seeing children, especially those with special needs, accomplish something that may otherwise have been difficult, if not impossible, elsewhere. We have created a unique place where dentistry is fun and as fear-free as possible.

dr-maron-familyI grew up in Asheville, NC, and currently live in the eastern part of Cary with my wife, daughter, and dog. When not spending time with my family or watching the UNC Tar Heels, I’ve been an on/off professional cyclist for the past 15 years and will travel as often as possible out west to ski. Playing golf and fishing are some of my favorite activities as well.

Travis Hicks, DDS, MS

dr-hicksAs a pediatric dentist, I have the opportunity to make an early impact on a child’s perception of the dentist and oral health. I am passionate about giving children a dental home, a place where they and their parents can trust in the quality of care they receive. I am excited every time I see a child for their first dental visit. It is an opportunity to develop a bond with that patient and their family that will hopefully last for many years to come. As one of the newest dentists in the practice, I look forward to working with not only a great group of pediatric dentists and orthodontists, but also an amazing staff in a thriving community like Raleigh.
